The Habitat community encompasses the northern New Jersey suburbs primarily located in Essex, Passaic and Bergen counties. This is a region rich in history, culture and diversity. Some of these towns were built at the turn of the century as railroad communities, providing easy access to the business centers in Newark and New York City. Others developed later, after World War II, when the automobile led to the rapid transformation of open land and farms. The result is a unique mix of housing options for buyers to choose from – ranging from sprawling brick estates and colonials to more modest capes, split levels and townhomes.

Location is one of the best things about the towns we serve. The Habitat community is located less than 20 miles from New York City and an extensive network of highways makes getting to the beach or the mountains an easy one hour drive. The Watchung mountain range provides many residents with open views of the Manhattan skyline to the east and rolling hillside to the west.
